NEOESR 26th Annual Picnic
August 28, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
New England Old English Sheepdog Rescue is planning our 26th Annual picnic for August 28, 2021
We are looking forward to seeing the sheepdogs racing around the “off-leash” area and playing together. If you can, please join us to celebrate the “dog days of August” at our picnic on the 28th.
Due to the continuing COVID-19 threat, we will be instituting certain temporary changes and restrictions:
- The Friday evening Red Roof Inn party will not be held this year, but G/A will attend the main event.
- Boxed lunches only will be served with an RSVP.
- No shared food will be allowed. This is for safety sake.
In order to insure the highest safety measures we will taking further steps:
- Sanitizers will be available along with sanitizer stations.
- There will be an auction and merchandise sales, but things will be covered with plastic, and requests made not to handle unless purchasing.
Location: 20 Tobacco Street, Lebanon, CT 06249
Time: 11:00am to 3:00pm
Sign Up: If you plan to attend, please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org or fill out the form below. It’s ok if you show up without signing up or sign up and do not come. We are just looking for a rough head count.
Cost: Since the picnic is being catered by the Log Cabin Restaurant, we are requesting a donation of $15 per adult, $10 per child to help cover costs.
Food: Those who sign up will get a boxed lunch. Non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. There is a restaurant next door to the picnic site where you may purchase grinders or pizza or even sit down for lunch.
Activities: This year’s picnic site has a large fenced play area with plenty of room for dogs and their people to run and play as well as an on-leash area. We will have two tents so that everyone can socially distance. There is a pond for swimming for dogs and their people. The Parade of Rescues will recognize OES rescues from the last year. We also plan to have a silent auction.
Volunteers: We need volunteers to help with set up, parking, cooking, selling raffle tickets, clean up, etc., and a volunteer to babysit for dogs during the dinner after the picnic. If you would like to volunteer, please contact email@example.com
