Buddy, a 1-year-old, very cute (at least he’s cute when he hasn’t had fun playing outside) 70 pound Old English Sheepdog is struggling in his current environment and urgently needs a new foster or permanent home where he can thrive. We’re looking for someone with experience handling Old English Sheepdogs who can provide the structure and guidance he needs.

Buddy would do best in a calm, low-activity household with a person who can dedicate time to teaching him appropriate behavior. He responds well to confident leadership and is eager to learn but currently lacks manners—he’s like an 8-10 week old puppy in a 1-year-old, 70-pound body.

He is crate trained, treat-motivated, and knows basic commands like coming when called. With patience and consistency, he will continue to improve. Buddy takes time to warm up to new people, but once he does, he’s affectionate and eager to please.

He needs to be the only pet in the home (no other dogs or cats) and requires a fenced yard for safe play and exercise. If you have the experience and commitment to help Buddy reach his full potential, he could be the perfect companion for you!
