New England Old English Sheepdog Rescue

New England Old English Sheepdog Rescue, Inc.

Sheepie Fest 4 (2007)

The main organizer this year was Paula Olsen. Also, lending much help, Amanda Petrowick (Izzy's mom), her sister Michelle and Stacy Mineko (Fozzie's mom), and Deborah Jacobson and her very helpful husband Tony (parents of Pirate and Keira).

It was held in a huge Forest Preserve NW of Chicago, with plenty of room for Sheepies to run and chase each other far from roads. The food was good, the company was great and there was a terribly tempting silent auction (the proceeds of which were donated to NEOESR). I bought a *diamond ring*.
That was the last thing that I thought I would come home with from a picnic .... :-)

But I *had* to do it for rescue (grinning).

Sadie and I had a great time. She met more Sheepies that she had ever imagined. All of whom were much bigger than her ....... but she loved them all.

There were 20 - 30 Sheepies there at any one time, but people were coming and going all day long, so an accurate count was impossible (at least for me).

Kristine brought Rupert (the 9 month old rescue hopeful puppy) from Wisconsin rescue .... and he charmed everyone with his dark face and two beautiful blue eyes.

The Jolly Ball was a huge success ..... especially to the "boys".
Massive tug-o-war and keep-a-way games ......

auction that Deborah was bidding on ....
